Opening Happy Hour Party & Badge Pick Up

Come join us to get your registration squared away and enjoy a cold beer before the movies start at 6:45 pm. We'll have live robotic entertainment from Austin's thriving chapter of Dorkbot, which is a spectacle you don't want to miss, plus we'll be roasting baby goats on an open fire, real Mexican cabrito-style! We'll be firing off a bload soaked gut cannon at live human targets, sampling extreme hot sauce and bashing Fantastic-themed pinatas. Following the party, we'll roll into the films, starting with our opening night movie: George Romero's DIARY OF THE DEAD.

Closing Night Party

After the awards ceremony, we are all heading over to one of our favorite bars in Austin, Donn's Depot. Donn played piano in Elvis Presley's band back in the 1970s and now holds court 3 nights a week at his railroad-car-turned-piano-bar. Join us to toast the winners, console the also-rans, and revel in the wake of what should prove to be an action-packed week of movie fun.
